The Magnificent Seven, Os Sete Magnívicos ou Sete homens e um destino, é um filme americano  de ação dirigido por Antoine Fuqua , e escrito por Nic Pizzolatto e Richard Wenk. A nova versão do filme de 1960 com o mesmo nome , que por sua vez era um remake do filme japonês de 1.954, Os Sete Samurais . O filme é estrelado por Denzel Washington ,Chris Pratt , Ethan Hawke , Vincent D’Onofrio , Lee Byung-hun , Manuel Garcia -Rulfo, Martin Sensmeier, Peter Sarsgaard e Haley Bennett .

A fotografia principal começou em 18 de maio, 2015, no norte de Baton Rouge, Louisiana . O filme está programado para estrear em 08 de setembro de 2016 no Toronto International Film Festival 2016 e para ser lançado nos Estados Unidos em cinemas convencionais   e IMAX  em 23 de setembro de 2016.

Premissa 

O Diretor Antoine Fuqua traz sua visão moderna à clássica história deThe Magnificent Seven.  Quando a cidade de Rose Krick é colocado sob o cerco do industrial Bartholomew Bogue, moradores da cidade recorrem a ajuda de sete bandidos, liderados pelo caçador de recompensas Sam Chisolm, para protegê-los enquanto eles se preparam para o confronto violento que está previsto. No entanto, mediante o cumprimento de moradores da cidade, o Sete encontram-se lutando por muito mais do que dinheiro.

Principal photographybegan on May 18, 2015, in the north ofBaton Rouge, Louisiana. The film is set to premiere on September 8, 2016 at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival and to be released in the United States in conventional and IMAX theatres on September 23, 2016.

Premise

Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to the classic story ofThe Magnificent Seven. As the town Rose Krick is put under the siege of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue, the town’s residents enlist the help of seven outlaws, headed by bounty hunter Sam Chisolm, to protect them while they prepare for the violent confrontation that is anticipated. However, upon meeting the town’s residents, the Seven find themselves fighting for much more than money.

Production

The film was reported to be in the planning stages in 2012, with Tom Cruise starring. It was reported that Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, and Matt Damon might join the film.^[3] On December 4, 2014, Chris Pratt was in early talks to join Washington in the film.^[4] On February 20, 2015, Haley Bennett was set to star as the widow of a man who was murdered, and she hires seven bounty hunters to get revenge.^[5]Peter Sarsgaard joined on May 20, 2015, to play the villain role in the film.^[6] On the same day, Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr confirmed that Jason Momoa had left the film because he was already booked to playAquaman.^[7] On July 11, 2015, Daily Mirror reported that Vinnie Joneshad been set to star in the film.^[8]

Music

James Horner was pegged to write the film’s score, but died on June 22, 2015. In July 2015, nearly a month after Horner’s death, Fuqua learned that the score already had been written, and Horner had planned for it to be a surprise.^[9] One of Horner’s arrangers, Simon Franglen, co-composed the score after Horner’s death, which will be released by Sony Classical.^[10] As such, the score will be the third and final Horner score to be released posthumously.

Filming

Principal photography on the film lasted 64 days, from March 18 to August 18, 2015, in the north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.^[11][12][13]Other locations include St. Francisville and Zachary, Louisiana.^[12][13]Filming in St. Francisville was completed between May 18 and May 29, 2015.^[14]

Release

The film will premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festivalon September 8, 2016 and also screen in September at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. On March 29, 2015, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer set the film for the MLK, Jr. weekend, January 13, 2017.^[15] However, in August 2015, Sony Pictures Entertainment moved the film up for a release on September 23, 2016.^[16]
